For a large-scale integrated resort developer, Convergence Strategy Group assessed the potential for an indoor waterpark at a major tourist destination on the East Coast of the United States. The current and future competitive supply of waterparks was evaluated in terms of facility offerings and existing market demand. CSG built a custom forecast model to project demand for the client’s waterpark from on-site hotel guests as well as from the general public residing within a 200 mile radius. Revenues by department were projected and a pro forma operating model provided to the client, including forecasts of EBITDA for the first 5 years of operation.
