Project Experience

As a sub-consultant for an advisory firm, Dr. Fisher performed a racing and gaming market assessment evaluating for two alternative locations of proposed racino development in Kentucky. The analysis considered the gaming sides of the operation (historical horse racing machines), which would be competing against full-scale casino operations in neighboring states, as well as other Kentucky racetracks offering historical horse racing machines. The analysis was performed using gravity models and actual reported performance of existing gaming facilities in the region.
